World Sculptor is a web-based language game that teaches the structure of languages and sounds that create them.

In the game, the players roleplay as a God starting their first society. They build a world, people, society and culture.

For the language system to be built, players select sounds based on the rules existing in the real world.

After the sounds and the world are ready, the people use the temple to pray for what they need which form the quests for the players.

This is a screenshot after the “we need fish” quest is completed. As one of the first quests, it unlocks fishing. Throughout the gameplay, players can select which quests they would like to complete which affects the way game world functions. Depending on players’ initial and later selections, these quests vary. Once the language is fully built, the players win the game and gain ‘words’ that they can use in different worlds to unlock a variety of quests and progress quicker.
